Another day, another Mars Volta track. Today’s Song of the Day is from The Mars Volta’s second full length release, Frances the Mute, and is called “The Widow.”
While I was living in Houston, “The Widow” was the first song I heard off of Frances. It’s a simple pop-ballad mixed with sexy Spanish trumpet. After moving back to Washington, I finally got my hands on the full release, and man, was I impressed.
To this day, Frances the Mute is my favorite Mars Volta album. Have fun with “The Widow.”
