During a very depressing time in my life, I came across Tim Kasher’s The Good Life and instantly felt at home. I was living with my parents in Houston, a place that where I had no friends, and I worked a dead-end job at Circuit City. The Good Life’s solemn soundscape brought me up, even if the lyrics were a solid downer.
Each song reminded me of a relationship I was never in. Today’s track is one of the first songs to ever make me cry tears of joy. Happy tears are pretty cool.
