I went through a short-lived “OMG, chiptunes are amazing” phase a little while back, and decided to pop in The Advantage for another listen. Yes, they aren’t really a chiptunes band, but the songs they cover are. Basically, they take all the beloved video game tracks from my childhood and blow them out - Rock ‘n Roll style.
Sit back and enjoy this wonderful rendition of the music for the original NES Batman game by SunSoft. For anyone that has played this game, the opening level’s music is as iconic as Batman himself (OK, maybe I’m pushing it there, but you get the idea).
Today’s Song of the Day is The Advantage’s “Batman - Stage 1,” from their album Elf-Titled. It’s upbeat, happy, and awesome. Pretty much everything you need in a song.
