Because the sun is (finally) out and shining up a storm, today’s Song of the Day is an uplifting one.
I first discovered Conor Oberst’s Bright Eyes the summer after I graduated from High School and before I left for my bad decision college experience (BDCE). During my first semester, his album Lifted, or the Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground came out, and I was very pleased with the songs it contained.
Lifted is probably Conor’s most epic album, and it’s always in my listening rotation.
Today’s happy twang is “Bowl of Oranges,” from Lifted, or the Story is in the Soil, Keep Your Ear to the Ground.
