Microwaves are a fantabulous modern convenience, but they do take up a lot of counter space. Even if they’re hanging, it seems like there could be a better, more space efficient way to have a microwave if you’re usually just microwaving small things like plates of leftovers or frozen dinners. Why not have the microwave in a drawer?
